Kaylee's Thoughts

The Perfect Gift?

Perfect: Having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.

As Christmas draws closer and closer we are at the mall shopping more and more. We are all looking for the perfect gift for our family, friends, boyfriends, acquaintances, etc. But really is there a perfect gift out there? Well you tell me. Have you ever went and bought someone . . .  let’s say a crazy sweater because they love crazy things? So you went and gave it to them on Christmas and they absolutely ‘loved’ it. Well unless you’re a mind reader you’re not gonna know they are bummed because they thought an Xbox Kinect was inside. {Hey, if you want the perfect gift for me that is it! Or a phone! LOL!} But instead got this weird sweater that they’ll only wear to make you happy and still be completely embarrassed when they wear it. Even if you have known that person your entire life and know them better than you know yourself. You are still most likely to mess up on their gift (Example: My Mom & Dad. She met him when she was 14 yrs old & he still has no clue what to buy her). Even if you get them what they have wanted their entire life it’s not perfect. Nothing is perfect.Nothing except for God of course! In the history of the world there has never been a perfect gift………. except for one gift. That perfect gift was Jesus. So this is my gift to you, if you don’t know the true meaning of Christmas, check out the linky link below:) ~Merry CHRISTmas! May God’s Peace & Love be with you {and ponchos}

  1. Kaylee— you are so right! Thanks for reminding us of the true meaning of the holiday. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

  2. Once again you amaze me. You are so correct about the true perfect gift. Love you!

  3. Kaylee, I’ve actually received 4 perfect gifts in my life: First, my salvation in Jesus . . . which you are sooooooooo right to share:) Second, my soul-mate (AKA, your dad:). Third and fourth, you and Ashley. Even though the last 3 aren’t “perfect,” you were all the perfect gifts for me to make my life complete. I love you!

  4. Thank you for the reminder and Christmas would be nothing without God in our lives and the people we love to share in the celebration of his birth. I love you with all my heart….since the day you were born. Merry Christmas.
